Happy holiday-readying season, art lovers! Custom artwork makes an excellent gift, and I have many offerings! See all of the listings here and remember to order by Halloween for holiday gifts (will be shipped by Dec 15). A little overview of my custom offerings here:
Watercolor paintings: the original, fan-favorite, most popular
At a glance:
- pricing: based on size, starts at 5”x7” ($375)
- My most flexible offering: pets, children, weddings, alma maters, homes, etc in a variety of sizes.
Custom ornaments: a holiday special, itty-bitty original watercolors in itty-bitty metallic ornament frames
At a glance:
- pricing: $100 each
- deadline is Nov 30! not Halloween :)
- Many of the same subjects as the larger watercolors, except that the painting is really itty-bitty at 2”x3” so I have to be a bit picky-er about references. Subjects that work particularly well are pets, children, weddings, houses, alma maters. I can manipulate most ideas to make them work for an ornament!
Custom illustrations: a new offering for dogs and children in ink & watercolor
At a glance:
- pricing: size 5”x7” ($250)
- Subjects are children, looking straight ahead at the camera with a closed-mouth smile, and dogs, either looking straight at the camera or in profile, ears perked and looking adorable. Other subjects fall under the custom watercolors category.
Custom lampshades and câche pots: branching out into home goods
At a glance:
- pricing: several size options for lampshades, starting at $350; câche pots have two size options, starting at $450 (although I’m always wiling to discuss larger sizes for specific projects)
- Usually painted in black paint; other colors available but for now, one color per shade or pot (all black, all green, all blue, etc).

Hello! I’m Clare, a painter working in watercolor and oil. I also accept commissions for custom paintings and make live drawings at private parties and corporate events.
I live and work in NYC and travel often, usually to my home state of Virginia or to the south of France to paint. And when all else fails, I take a visit to the Met for a little escape! Art history shapes much of what I make, and I’m always aiming to continue my education.
