Bonjour from France!! During the summer of 2024, I was an artist-in-residence with the Leo Marchutz School in Aix-en-Provence for six weeks, spending my days painting en plein air.

A bit farther along the train line from Niolon is another stop called la Redonne-Ensues with some lovely beaches and a little port. I so often went to Niolon and wanted to change it up so I took the train here and made a painting... on one of the hottest days of the summer, no shade to be found! I think I dipped in the water three times during this one painting and then hopped back on the train to get back to Niolon, which has beautiful shade to paint in!!
