Bonjour from France!! During the summer of 2024, I was an artist-in-residence with the Leo Marchutz School in Aix-en-Provence for six weeks, spending my days painting en plein air.

This oil painting was painted one morning from a little perch in the rocks on of a beloved beach, where I painted about 40 pieces this summer. Repetition is an important part of my practice; I find new things each time I sit to make a painting, even--especially--if it's a scene I've painted many times before.
