NIOLON, JULY 21 IN THE LATE LATE AFTERNOON
NIOLON, JULY 21 IN THE LATE LATE AFTERNOON
Welcome to Provence! I spent a wonderfully blissful month in the south of France this summer, painting all day, every day; these are the fruits of my labor.
Niolon is a darling beach town on the Mediterranean, about 30 minutes from Marseille. I set up in the rocks to paint the perfectly blue water and swimmers in it, then jumped in for a swim, made another painting, and back and forth until it was time to catch the train back to Aix. Could there be anything better??
Original oil painting on canvas with optional natural wood floating frame. Size approx 9” x 13” unframed/10” x 14” framed. Please note: this painting was painted en plein air and consequently is a bit messy around the edges. The sides are less-than-pristine! A frame is a good idea to make the piece feel a bit more finished.
This painting is currently for sale at The Little Plucky in New Canaan, CT. If you’d like to purchase, please send me a note and I will arrange it through them. Thank you!!
Merci!!!
