NYC in the early spring: B'artusi from Cowgirl, March 11
On warmer days this early springtime in New York City, I ventured out to paint townhouses and restaurants and the general hustle-bustle of the city. All of these paintings were made en plein air, meaning I painted them from life, sitting outside and looking at the scene as I worked. To paint this bustling corner, I sat across the street at Cowgirl, a restaurant and bar that’s been in the village for years and years, and painted across the street.
