Bonjour from France!! This summer I was an artist-in-residence with the Leo Marchutz School in Aix-en-Provence for six weeks, spending my days painting en plein air.

This oil painting was made on a rare overcast morning in my dear Niolon, a beach a bit west of Marseille, where I painted most days this summer. These two women were heading back to the land after being in the water and I quickly included them in the painting as they balanced themselves getting out from the slippery pebbles.

Original oil painting on canvas, framed in a natural wood floating frame. Size approx 10” x 13” framed.
