Bonjour from France!! This summer I was an artist-in-residence with the Leo Marchutz School in Aix-en-Provence for six weeks, spending my days painting en plein air.

This watercolor was painted on a beautiful afternoon in Cassis with a dear friend and fellow artist, after having made two other paintings in oil that day. There were so many swimmers jumping off the rocks and I wanted to their motions down onto paper in watercolor... so I did!
