NYC in the early spring: The view from The Little Owl, February 25

from $325.00

On warmer days this early springtime in New York City, I ventured out to paint townhouses and restaurants and the general hustle-bustle of the city. All of these paintings were made en plein air, meaning I painted them from life, sitting outside and looking at the scene as I worked. The Little Owl is also the ground floor of the famed Friends Building (just the outside shot; everything else was filmed in LA!) and there is always a crowd on the opposite corner taking photos. I’ve painted the restaurant many times and this time I decided to paint the opposite view!
