La montagne Sainte-Victoire from le Tholonet, July 9

$525.00

Bonjour from France!! This summer I was an artist-in-residence with the Leo Marchutz School in Aix-en-Provence for six weeks, spending my days painting en plein air.

I painted this piece of the glorious Mont Sainte-Victoire from a mountaintop across the way, where Cezanne himself often painted. It was a brutally hot day, but I found the shade and the mountain peeked through the trees, just begging to be painted. Being on the same land as the master painter Cezanne was humbling and inspirational at once. As I often do, I made an oil painting first and then this watercolor from the same location before packing up for the day.

Original watercolor painting framed in a tortoise shell patterned frame. Size approx 15” x 19” framed.

Shipping (USPS First Class) is free in the continental United States.

Merci!!!
