Bonjour from France!! This summer I was an artist-in-residence with the Leo Marchutz School in Aix-en-Provence for six weeks, spending my days painting en plein air.

This was painted the day after le Quatorze (Bastille Day), a national holiday, and it was a beautifully busy Sunday. As the bathers left the beach, they passed me painting and picked themselves out in the painting; a very sweet moment.
